It’s great to be able to report something other than a really tough, soft snow day for the team;
Back to better snow conditions today – harder snow, so less draggy sleds. Fair bit of elevation gained and lost still today, so not easy, but a good improvement on the last few days, which helps make the team feel more comfortable about progress.
One of the things Lucy is finding wierd about the long duration of the ski is that good and bad days mess with your perception of the terrain. After being convinced in the morning that it was downhill, she found out from the guide that they’d actually been going uphill all morning. The last couple of days have been opposite – even downhills have been tough due to the soft snow.
