Trickier day for Lucy & the guys yesterday – cloud overhead meant that there was extremely flat light. The lack of contrast means skiing takes more effort compared to the days where they have had bright sunshine.
In sunshine you can see what you’re skiing on and react before you hit it, but in flat light you have to have to react by feel.
The guys skiied an extra half an hour, so they still got good distance from the day, and should cross 84ºS early on today.
