Daughter, sister, wife, friend, colleague, outdoor enthusiast. Constant learner, planner (some would say over planner), clumsy, slightly goofy, determined, loyal, empathetic but mostly just “Lucy”. I like cooking, reading and, more than anything else, being with my friends and family.
I have always been curious about people - getting to know them and understanding their journeys to who they are now.
History student turned lawyer, turned C-Level exec and coach. I volunteer as an adviser to multiple charities through the Pilotlight programme and am Trustee of the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK.
My career started in a big American law firm. For 7 years I did the long hours, learnt a lot and got multiple T-shirts. Lured away to in-house life, I joined my largest client, growing my way to Global Head of Product and eventually splitting it into four for a sale with a $1 Billion deal value. Transition done, it was time for me to get back to my personal passion- the outdoors.
I always used holidays to travel, explore new cultures and go hiking, but this was no longer giving me the adventure I craved. So after 5 years of planning, injury and training, my ski to the South Pole finally became a reality. It was physically challenging, mentally tough and everything I hoped it would be. 53 days is a lot of time in your own head and this element has really shaped my approach to coaching.
Of course, I came back and got a job. First as the COO of a crypto asset management business, helping grow it to around 100 people and $5bn in assets, and now as a strategic adviser to another Fintech start up. Today, this is all alongside my outdoor adventures, coaching and charity work - using the sum of all of my experiences to help others understand their abilities and potential.
